Sue, a bright and attractive researcher working for the Foreign Office in India is found dead on a trip home to the UK. The cause of death is poison from the seeds of a plant grown in India. The police are convinced the murderer is the dead woman's lover James but begin to suspect her flat mate whose behaviour becomes erratic. DI Margarte Clement and her team doggedly try to stop her doing whatever she has in mind as the trial approaches.
